Ingredients
- Coriander seeds (dhaniya seeds) -2 cups
- Jeera (cumin seeds)- ¼ cup (25gm)
- Methi seeds (fenugreek seeds)-1tsp
- Dried red chili -12
- Curry leaves-few
- Black pepper -¼ cup +2 tbsp (30gm)
- Asafoetida(hing)- 1 tsp
Directions
- Step 1 Take a pan and add dried red chili. Roast in low flame until it turns crisp and keep it aside
- Step 2 Add asafoetida(hing) and roast low flame
- Step 3 Add pepper
- Step 4 Add jeera (cumin seeds)
- Step 5 Add methi seeds (fenugreek seeds) and roast low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
- Step 6 Add coriander seeds (dhaniya seeds) roast low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
- Step 7 Add Curry leaves and roast it for a few minutes
- Step 8 transfer to the bowl and allowing to cool completely
- Step 9 transfer to the blender and blend to a coarse powder.
- Step 10 Rasam powder is ready, store in an airtight container or use to prepare healthy & tasty rasam .
