Ingredients
- Chicken - 1 kg
- Shallots (small onion) -½ cup, minced
- Green Chilli - 2 ,minced
- Garlic - 5 pearls, minced
- Ginger - ½ inch, minced
- Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
- Pepper powder - ½ tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Tomato - 1chopped
- Curry leaves - few
- Coriander leaves -1 tbsp
- Mustard - ½ tsp
- Sambar powder - 2 tsp
- Chicken masala powder - 2 tbsp
- Pepper powder - ½ tsp
Directions
- Step 1 Take a pan and add oil
- Step 2 Add mustard seeds and let it splutter
- Step 3 Add minced small onion and saute it well
- Step 4 Add minced garlic
- Step 5 Add minced ginger
- Step 6 Add minced green chili
- Step 7 Add curry leaves and saute it for a few minutes
- Step 8 Add chopped tomato and saute it well
- Step 9 Add salt to taste and mix it well
- Step 10 Add cleaned chicken pieces and mix it well
- Step 11 Add turmeric powder and mix it well
- Step 12 Add two cups of water and mix it well
- Step 13 Cover the lid and cook it for 15 minutes
- Step 14 Add sambar powder
- Step 15 Add Chicken masala powder and mix it well (Prefer Sakthi Masala brand)
- Step 16 Cover the lid and cook it for 10minutes. Until the flavors are absorbed well.
- Step 17 Add pepper powder and mix it well for a minute
- Step 18 Add coriander leaves and mix it well.
- Step 19 Serve this recipe with hot white rice.
