How often we are spending money to buy Cake? Why can’t you try at home itself? If you are a chocolate lover, you should try this recipe. We have added instant coffee decoction to add more flavour to this chocolate cake. I have hardly spent less than 60 mins to prepare this recipe. I haven’t frost and avoided icing sugar to keep this recipe simple. This cake offers very mildly sweet and one can add more sugar according to their taste. The outcome was really super since the cake was very soft, spongy and moist. Coffee and cocoa blended very well in cake and you can experience while having it.

Ingredients
- Maida ( plain flour / all purpose flour) -1½ cup
- Cocoa powder - ¼ th cup
- Baking soda - 1 tsp
- Baking powder - ½ tsp
- Instant coffee powder - 1 tsp
- Egg - 1
- Curd - ½ cup
- Sugar - 1½ cup (150 grams)
- Oil - ¼ cup
- Vanilla Extract - 1½ tsp
- Salt - ½ tsp
- Hot water - 1/2 cup
Directions
- Step 1 Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius. Grease the pan with oil and keep it aside
- Step 2 Take a mixing bowl and add sugar
- Step 3 Add maida ( plain flour / all purpose flour)
- Step 4 Add Cocoa powder
- Step 5 Add Baking soda
- Step 6 Add Baking powder
- Step 7 Add salt and mix it well
- Step 8 Add egg
- Step 9 Add curd (curd should be liquid. Don’t use thick curd)
- Step 10 Add oil and mix it well
- Step 11 Take another bowl and add instant coffee powder.
- Step 12 Add hot water and mix it well. keep it aside.
- Step 13 Add Vanilla Extract
- Step 14 Add instant coffee decoction and mix it well
- Step 15 Transfer the batter to the cake pan
- Step 16 Place the cake tray into the preheated oven.
- Step 17 Bake the cake at 180-degree Celsius or 356 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
- Step 18 Insert a toothpick at the centre and see if it comes out clean. Else bake for 5 more minutes.
- Step 19 Allow the cake to cool down completely. Later, cut into slices and serve.
- Step 20 Serve the Chocolate cake, store in an airtight container. You could also reheat and have any time.
