Ingredients
- Fenugreek Leaves / Fresh Methi - 1 cup
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
- Fenugreek Seeds/ Methi/ Vendayam - ¼ th tsp
- Curry Leaves - a sprig
- Shallots - ¼ th cup
- Garlic - 6 chopped
- Tomato - 1 chopped
- Sambar Powder - 1tbsp
- Tamarind extract - 1 small lime size
- Water as needed
- Salt - to taste
Directions
- Step 1 Take a Kadai and add oil
- Step 2 add mustard seeds
- Step 3 Add Fenugreek Seeds/ Methi/ Vendayam and let it splutter.
- Step 4 Add shallots (small onion) and saute it well
- Step 5 Add curry leaves
- Step 6 Add tomato and saute it well
- Step 7 Add salt,turmeric powder and saute it well until tomato become soft and mushy
- Step 8 Add sambar powder and saute it for a minute
- Step 9 add fenugreek Leaves / fresh Methi and saute it well until leaves shrink in size.
- Step 10 Add tamarind extract and mix it well
- Step 11 Add required water and mix it well
- Step 12 Cover the lid and cook it for 10 minutes
- Step 13 Once it’s done, remove the lid and mix it well
