I have used traditional Indian mortar and pestle as a mixer which makes this recipe even better.

Ingredients
- Horse gram (Kollu paruppu)-200 gram
- Oil -2 tbsp
- Dried red chili -
- Coriander seeds -¼ th tsp
- Cumin seeds(Cumin)-1 tsp
- Pepper -¼ th tsp
- Small onions -¼ th cup
- Curry leaves -few
- Turmeric powder -½ tsp
- Tomato - 1 chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Small onions -5
- Garlic -3
- Curry leaves -few
Directions
- Step 1 Take a pressure cooker and add Horse gram (Kollu paruppu)
- Step 2 Add chopped tomato
- Step 3 Add turmeric powder and salt
- Step 4 Add water
- Step 5 Cover the lid and pressure cook in medium flame for 10 whistles or until the lentil is cooked well.
- Step 6 Take a pan and add oil
- Step 7 Add small onion and saute it well
- Step 8 Add red chilli
- Step 9 Add green chilli
- Step 10 Add curry leaves and saute it well
- Step 11 Add jeera
- Step 12 Add coriander seeds
- Step 13 Add pepper and saute it well
- Step 14 Add cooked horse gram (Kollu paruppu)
- Step 15 Cover the lid and cook it for 10 minutes
- Step 16 add garlic
- Step 17 Add small onion
- Step 18 Add curry leaves
- Step 19 Once it’s cooldown, transfer to the mixer (traditional Indian mortar and pestle).
- Step 20 Grind it to a coarse paste.
- Step 21 Serve it with hot steamed rice.

1. Take a pressure cooker and add Horse gram (Kollu paruppu)
2. Add chopped tomato
3. Add turmeric powder and salt
4. Add water
5. Cover the lid and pressure cook in medium flame for 10 whistles or until the lentil is cooked well.
6. Take a pan and add oil
7. Add small onion and saute it well
8. Add red chili
9. Add green chili
10. Add curry leaves and saute it well
11. Add jeera
12. Add coriander seeds
13. Add pepper and saute it well
14. Add cooked horse gram (Kollu paruppu)
15. Cover the lid and cook it for 10 minutes
16. Add garlic
17. Add small onion
18. Add curry leaves
19. Once it’s cooldown, transfer to the mixer (traditional Indian mortar and pestle).
20. Grind it to a coarse paste.
21. Serve it with hot steamed rice.
