Ingredients
- Bread -4 slices
- Sugar -¼ cup
- Ghee -3 tbsp,melted
- Cashews -10
- Water -½ cup
- Cardamom powder -¼ tsp
Directions
- Step 1 Take a bread
- Step 2 Trim the edges of the bread slices. Keep it aside.
- Step 3 Add ghee
- Step 4 Add cashews and fry until golden brown,
- Step 5 Add raisins and saute it well. Remove the fried cashews and raisins and keep it aside
- Step 6 Add bread slices
- Step 7 Toast until golden brown and crisp on both sides. Keep it aside(similarly, toast the other 2 slices too)
- Step 8 Add sugar
- Step 9 Add water and mix it well
- Step 10 Boil for 3 minutes
- Step 11 Add roughly tear the bread slices and let it soak for few seconds and mash it well
- Step 12 Add Cardamom powder
- Step 13 Add ghee and mix it well
- Step 14 Add fried cashews and raisins. Mix it well
- Step 15 Serve bread halwa hot. It can be stored for 2 days.
