Homemade Cinnamon Rolls | The Best Cinnamon Rolls
Homemade Cinnamon Rolls | The Best Cinnamon Rolls preparation with step-by-step photos and a quick video.
Ingredients
- Dough: All-purpose flour - 2½ cup
- Lukewarm Milk - 1 cup
- Instant yeast - 1 tbsp
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Salt - ½ tsp
- Melted butter - 2 tbsp
- Oil-1 tbsp
- Filling
- Soft butter - ½ cup
- Brown Sugar - ½ cup
- Cinnamon powder - 4 tbsp
- Vanilla Cream cheese glaze
- Cream cheese - ½ cup
- Powdered sugar - 3 tbsp or more if needed
- Milk - 2 - 3 tbsp
- Vanilla essence - ½ tsp
Directions
- Step 1 Take a bowl and add warm milk(If the milk is too warm it will kill the yeast and it won’t proof)
- Step 2 Add sugar and mix it well
- Step 3 Add the dry yeast and mix it well. Set aside for 5 min or till it foams up.
- Step 4 Add salt
- Step 5 Add butter and mix it well
- Step 6 Add flour and make a soft dough. Knead well for 5 minutes
- Step 7 Tuck the dough and form to a ball. Place in a large mixing bowl.
- Step 8 Cover it with a cling wrap and set aside in a warm place until it doubles in size( for about 1 hour).
- Step 9 When it doubles, knock out the air and knead the dough for 2 mins
- Step 10 Add the dough into the dusted surface and roll the rectangle shape.
- Step 11 Take a small bowl and add brown sugar
- Step 12 add cinnamon powder and mix it well. Keep it aside
- Step 13 Spread softened butter over dough, leaving a ¼ inch margin at the far side of the dough.
- Step 14 Use your hands to sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mix
- Step 15 Roll up the dough tightly. Making sure to seal the edges of the dough as best you can.
- Step 16 Cut into 14-16 even rolls
- Step 17 Arrange in a lightly greased oval cake pan or round cake pan.
- Step 18 Cover with plastic wrap and a warm towel and let rise again for 30-45 minutes.
- Step 19 Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Remove plastic wrap and towel and bake cinnamon rolls for 20-25 minutes or until just slightly golden brown on the edges.
- Step 20 To make the cream cheese frosting
- Step 21 Take a mixing bowl and add powdered sugar
- Step 22 Add cream cheese
- Step 23 Add milk
- Step 24 Add vanilla extract beat it well until well combined and smooth.
- Step 25 Spread over cinnamon rolls and serve immediately. Enjoy!
