Ingredients
- Field beans (Mochakottai)-1 cup
- Dry Fish (Karuvadu pieces) -½ cup
- Small onion -½ cup (chopped)
- Brinjal - 3 chopped
- Tomato -1
- Garlic -5 (chopped)
- Curry leaves -few
- Chilli powder- 1 tsp
- Coriander powder (Malli Podi )- 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder (Manjal Podi)-½ tsp
- Kulambu milagai thool - 2 tbsp
- Tamarind extract - ½ cup
- Mustard - ½ tsp
- salt -to taste
- Oil -2 tbsp
Directions
- Step 1 Take a kadai and add gingelly oil
- Step 2 Add mustard seeds
- Step 3 Add fenugreek seeds and let it splutter
- Step 4 Add onions and saute it well
- Step 5 Add green chili
- Step 6 Add curry leaves
- Step 7 Add tomato and saute it well
- Step 8 Add chopped garlic and saute it well
- Step 9 Add chopped brinjal
- Step 10 Add boiled field beans (Mochakottai) and saute it well
- Step 11 Add turmeric powder
- Step 12 Add salt
- Step 13 Add Chilli powder
- Step 14 Add kulambu milagai thool
- Step 15 Add Coriander powder and saute it for few minutes
- Step 16 Add tamarind extract
- Step 17 Add water and mix it well
- Step 18 Cover the lid and cook it for 10 minutes
- Step 19 Add cleaned dry fish pieces and gently mix
- Step 20 Cover the lid and cook for 2 minutes
- Step 21 Serve it hot with white rice.
