Ingredients
- Maida ( plain flour / all-purpose flour) - 100 grams(1 cup)
- Oil - 65 gm (½ cup)
- Powdered sugar - 100 gm (¾ th cup)
- Eggs - 2
- Baking Powder - 1 tsp
- Karonda Cherries- 50 gm (½ cup)+1 tbsp
- Almonds - 40gm (½ cup)+1 tbsp
- Almond essence - 2 - 3 drops
Directions
- Step 1 Preheat oven to 150 degree celsius. Grease the pan with oil and line with parchment paper, then grease the parchment paper. Parchment paper helps the cakes seamlessly release from the pans. keep it aside
- Step 2 Take a bowl and add eggs.
- Step 3 Add powdered sugar and beat it well until eggs & sugar together frothy
- Step 4 Add oil gradually, beating all the time
- Step 5 Add flour
- Step 6 Add baking powder and sieve the flour. Beat well
- Step 7 Add chopped almonds
- Step 8 Add chopped karonda cherries
- Step 9 Add essence and mix well using cut and fold method.
- Step 10 Transfer the batter to the cake pan.
- Step 11 Pat the dish gently to even out the surface
- Step 12 Bake the cake at 150-degree Celsius or 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour.
- Step 13 Insert a toothpick at the center and see if it comes out clean. Else bake for 5 more minutes.
- Step 14 Allow the cake to cool down completely. Later, cut into slices and serve.
- Step 15 Homemade Cherry Almond Loaf Cake is ready for serving.
