Home Made Butter Murukku /Butter Murukku Recipe preparation with step by step photos and a quick video.
Ingredients
- Rice flour - 1 cup
- Besan flour(Kadala Maavu) - 2 tbsp
- Gram flour (Potukadalai Maavu) - 1 tbsp
- Butter - 2 tsp
- Jeera - 1 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - to deep fry
Directions
- Step 1 Take a mixing bowl and add rice flour
- Step 2 Add besan flour
- Step 3 Add gram flour (Potukadalai Maavu)
- Step 4 Add butter
- Step 5 Add salt
- Step 6 Add jeera and mix it well
- Step 7 Add water and start to knead. Add water if required
- Step 8 Knead to a smooth and soft dough.
- Step 9 Take star mould and fix to the chakli maker. (grease the chakli maker with some oil.)
- Step 10 Make a cylindrical shape out of dough and place the dough inside the maker.
- Step 11 Directly press the chaklis into the oil .
- Step 12 Fry chaklis on medium flame.
- Step 13 Flip the chaklis and fry till they turn golden brown and crispy from both sides.
- Step 14 Drain it to the paper towel.
- Step 15 Serve chakli with filter coffee.
