Veg momos recipe | Vegetable momos recipe | Vegetable Dim Sum Recipe preparation with step by step photos and a quick video. Momo is a type of steamed filled dumpling popular across the Indian subcontinent and the Himalayan regions of East-South Asia border. Momo is usually served with red-colored spicy chutney and mince. This snack is typically made with white flour but we can use wheat flour as well. In the last couple of years, it has become a popular street food all over India. You could make this in any shape as you want. I have tried with three different shapes. You might need little practice to get the traditional momo shape.

Ingredients
- Maida -1½ cup
- Salt -½ tsp
- Water -for kneading
- Oil -1 tbsp
- For Stuffing:
- Oil -1 tbsp
- Garlic -3 clove,finely chopped
- Ginger-1 inch,finely chopped
- Chilli-1,finely chopped
- Spring onion -2 tbsp
- Carrot-1 cup ,grated
- Cabbage -2 cup, shredded
- Pepper -½ tsp, crushed
- Salt - to taste
Directions
- Step 1 Take a bowl and add maida
- Step 2 Add salt
- Step 3 Add oil and mix it well
- Step 4 Add water and knead dough for at least 5 minutes
- Step 5 Grease the dough with oil and rest for 30 minutes
- Step 6 Take a pan and add oil
- Step 7 Add chopped garlic
- Step 8 Add ginger
- Step 9 Add green chili and saute it well
- Step 10 Add onion and saute it well
- Step 11 Add shredded cabbage and stir fry on high flame
- Step 12 Add grated carrot and saute it well
- Step 13 Add pepper powder
- Step 14 Add salt and mix it well
- Step 15 Add spring onion and mix it well. Let it cool down and the stuffing mixture is ready.
- Step 16 After 30 minutes, take the prepared momos dough and knead well again for a minute.
- Step 17 Pinch a small ball sized momos dough and flatten.
- Step 18 Dust with some maida and start to roll using a rolling pin.
- Step 19 Roll almost medium thin circle.
- Step 20 Place a heaped tbsp of prepared stuffing in the center.
- Step 21 Start pleating the edges slowly and gather everything.
- Step 22 Press in middle and seal the momos forming a bundle.
- Step 23 Heat a steamer and arrange the momos
- Step 24 Steam momos for 10-12 minutes or until shiny seen appears over it.
- Step 25 Veg momos recipe is ready to enjoy with momos chutney.
