Authentic Butter Naan Recipe | Soft & Fluffy | Homemade Naan preparation with step by step photos and a quick video.
Ingredients
- Maida (plain flour/all-purpose flour) - 2 ½ Cup
- Salt -to taste
- Baking powder- ½ tsp
- Baking soda -½ tsp
- Yogurt/Curd - ¼ cup
- Milk - ½ Cup
- Sugar -1 tsp
- Oil -1 tbsp
- Water -2 tsp
- Butter -2 tsp
Directions
- Step 1 Take a mixing bowl and add maida
- Step 2 Add baking soda
- Step 3 Add baking powder
- Step 4 add salt to taste
- Step 5 Add sugar
- Step 6 Add curd /yogurt and mix it well
- Step 7 Add milk and knead it well
- Step 8 Add water and knead 10minutes and make a soft and smooth dough
- Step 9 Tuck the dough and form to a ball. Place in a large mixing bowl.
- Step 10 Apply the oil generously.
- Step 11 Cover it with a cling wrap and set aside about for 2 hours
- Step 12 Knead the dough for 5 mins
- Step 13 Take a small ball sized dough and tuck to make a ball .
- Step 14 Add the dough into the dusted surface and roll it in an oval shape
- Step 15 Place the naan on a hot Tawa or griddle.
- Step 16 When the bottom is partly cooked, flip. You will see bubbles on the naan.
- Step 17 When the second side is cooked, remove the naan with a pair of tongs and place the side which was cooked first facing the fire.
- Step 18 The naan will puff up. Flip and brown the naan.
- Step 19 Spread some butter on top.
- Step 20 Serve butter naan hot with your favorite curry like paneer butter masala.
