Phoa ladoo is sweet balls made with flattened rice, palm jaggery, cardamom powder, and nuts. It requires very few ingredients and mostly those are available in everyone’s cupboard. Let’s make this recipe for the upcoming Gokulashtami festival/Krishna Jayanthi. Many south Indians make Sedai and butter murukku also during this festival.

Aval karupatti ladoo recipe| Poha palm jaggery ladoo recipe preparation with step by step photos and a quick video.
Ingredients
- Poha -1 cup, thick
- Ghee -2 tbsp
- Cashews -2 tbsp, broken
- Cardamom powder - ¼ tsp
- To make the syrup
- Palm jaggery - 1/3 cup
- Water -¼ cup
Directions
- Step 1 Take a pan and add poha and dry roast it
- Step 2 Turns crisp then remove it, set aside to cool down
- Step 3 Transfer the mixer jar and blend fone powder
- Step 4 Transfer to the mixing bowl
- Step 5 Take a pan and add palm jaggery
- Step 6 Add water and mix it well
- Step 7 Let it jaggery dissolve and let the syrup slightly thicken.
- Step 8 Touch between your fingers, it should be sticky. Set aside to cool.
- Step 9 Take a tadka pan and add ghee
- Step 10 Add chopped cashews and fry until golden brown. Keep it aside
- Step 11 Strain and add jaggery syrup
- Step 12 Add cashews along with ghee
- Step 13 Add cardamom powder and mix it well
- Step 14 Shape the laddus and finish off the dough. Cooldown then store.
