Shortbread is a traditional Scottish biscuit and very popular around the world. Just roll out the dough and make classic plain cookies in minutes. It simply crunchy and melts in your mouth. Classic Shortbread Cookies/ Home Made Cookies

Ingredients
- Maida (All Purpose Flour ) - 240 grams
- Butter - 140 gm
- Baking powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Powdered sugar - 120 gm
- Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Directions
- Step 1 Take a bowl and add maida
- Step 2 Add baking powder
- Step 3 Add salt and sieve well.Keep it aside
- Step 4 Take a mixing bowl and add butter
- Step 5 Add vanilla essence
- Step 6 Add powdered sugar and blend with an electric mixer until turns creamy
- Step 7 Add flour mixture and mix gently until the dough comes together
- Step 8 Dough out onto your work surface and shape into a flat disk.
- Step 9 Roll the dough uniform 1/8 inch thickness
- Step 10 Using a cookie cutter, cut rounds or any preferred shapes.
- Step 11 Place cookies on a butter paper
- Step 12 Bake the cookies for 20 minutes, until the edges begin to brown.
- Step 13 Allow the cookies to cool at room temperature.
- Step 14 Classic homemade Shortbread Cookies are ready.
