This is a great way to make kids eat their veggies. This is an easy meal which can be prepared in less than 30mins. I have kept sauce limited quality to avoid satiety. Pasta in white sauce | Penne in white sauce | White sauce pasta preparation with step-by-step photos and a quick video.

Ingredients
  • Penne or any other Pasta -1 cup
  • Maida (Refined/Plain Flour) - 2 tbsp
  • Green Capsicum -½,chopped
  • Onion- 1,chopped
  • Carrot -1,chopped
  • Sweet corn - ¼ cup
  • Mixed herbs - ½ tsp
  • Chilli flakes - 1 tsp
  • Crushed black pepper- 1 tsp
  • Chopped garlic - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Milk (Using full fat milk) - 3 Cups
  • Cheese slices - 3
  • Salt - to taste
  • Butter - 5 tbsp
Directions
  • Step 1 Boil raw pasta according to the instructions given on the package or follow
  • Step 2 Take 4-5 cups water in deep sauce pan,bring it to boil over medium flame.
  • Step 3 Add Penne pasta
  • Step 4 Add salt and mix it well
  • Step 5 Boil them until al-dente (cooked but not very soft). It will take around 10-12 minutes. To check whether pasta is cooked or not, take one pasta in a fork and bite it. If it is a little firm to bite, it is cooked. If it is too hard to bite, it requires more cooking.
  • Step 6 Transfer cooked pasta to a large colander and drain excess water
  • Step 7 Take a pan and add butter
  • Step 8 Add chopped garlic and saute it well
  • Step 9 Add chopped onion
  • Step 10 Add green capsicum
  • Step 11 Add chopped carrot
  • Step 12 Add sweet corn and saute it well
  • Step 13 Add salt and stir it well until veggies are little cooked but still crunchy.
  • Step 14 Take a pan and add butter
  • Step 15 Add maida and stir it continuously and cook for a minute
  • Step 16 Pour 3 cups of milk and stirring continuously with a whisk.
  • Step 17 Reduce flame to low. Continue stirring and cooking until the mixture starts to thicken.
  • Step 18 Add salt
  • Step 19 Add mixed herbs
  • Step 20 Add black pepper powder
  • Step 21 Add red chili flakes and mix it well
  • Step 22 Add sauteed vegetables and mix it well
  • Step 23 When the mixture starts to coat the back of a spoon as shown in the picture here, it means that it has started to thicken.
  • Step 24 Add cooked pasta and mix it well
  • Step 25 Add grated cedar cheese or mozzarella cheese and mix it well
  • Step 26 Transfer it to a serving plate. White sauce pasta is now ready. Garnish it with grated cheese and serve while they are still hot.
