Cauliflower Manchurian preparation with step-by-step photos and a quick video. Gobi Manchurian is a delicious Indo-Chinese recipe and is available in most Indian restaurants. This starter can go well with fried rice or pulao. Since we have intended to make it as a starter, the sauce can be slightly thick. Please adjust the quantity of soy sauce, red chilli sauce, green chillies, black pepper and vinegar as per your requirements or taste buds. Gobi Manchurian Recipe | Gobi Manchurian Dry Street Style |Cauliflower Manchurian preparation with step-by-step photos and a quick video.
Ingredients
- for batter:
- Cauliflower -1 medium
- Corn flour - 2 tbsp
- Rice flour - 2 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste -1 tsp
- Pepper powder-½ tsp
- Soy sauce -1 tsp
- Salt - as required
- Oil - to deep fry
- for manchurian sauce:
- Oil-1tbsp
- Garlic- 1 tbsp
- Green chilli- 1,chopped
- Onion- 1,chopped
- Capsicum -1 sliced
- Pepper powder-½ tsp
- Tomato sauce-2 tbsp
- Red chilli sauce- 2 tbsp
- Vinegar-1 tsp
- Soy sauce -1 tsp
- Corn flour -1 tbsp
- Water- 2 tbsp
Directions
- Step 1 Take a large bowl and add florets gobiand add salt then add three cups of hot water and mix it well.Allow to blanch for 5 minutes and drain off the water and keep it aside
- Step 2 Take a mixing bowl and add maida
- Step 3 Add cornflour
- Step 4 Add pepper
- Step 5 Add salt
- Step 6 Add ginger garlic paste
- Step 7 Add soya sauce
- Step 8 Add water and mix it well
- Step 9 Add blanched gobi and mix it well until coating batter uniformly
- Step 10 Drop the masala coated gobi one by one into the medium hot oil.
- Step 11 Stir continuously and fry for 5 to 8 minutes until turns golden and crisp.
- Step 12 Drain off the gobi over a kitchen towel to remove excess oil. Keep it aside.
- Step 13 Take a frying pan and add oil.
- Step 14 Add chopped garlic and saute it well
- Step 15 Add chopped green chilli
- Step 16 Add onion and saute it for a minute
- Step 17 Add capsicum and saute it on high flame
- Step 18 Add tomato sauce
- Step 19 Add red chilli sauce
- Step 20 Add vinegar
- Step 21 Add soy sauce
- Step 22 Add pepper powder and mix it well
- Step 23 Add water and mix it well.
- Step 24 Add cornflour slurry and stir continuously. Once’s its turns glossy(Take cornflour and water. Mix it well and make a slurry)
- Step 25 Add fried gobi and mix it gently.
- Step 26 Serve cauliflower Manchurian recipe garnished with a few chopped spring onions along with noodles or rice.
