Paal Paniyaram is made with urad dal – Rice batter. Urdal improves digestion as it is filled with fibres. It boosts your energy and oxygenates blood to your organs. Since we will be soaking with coconut milk, it offers very mildly sweet. Kids would love to have it. This is very famous in Karaikudi(Tamil Nadu).

Ingredients
- Whole Urad Dal – 1/2 cup
- Raw Rice – 1/2 cup
- First Coconut Milk – 1 cup
- Milk(boiled and cooled) – 1/3 cup
- Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
- Salt – a tiny pinch
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
- Oil – to deep fry
Directions
- Step 1 Add whole urad dal
- Step 2 Add raw rice
- Step 3 Soak it for 3 hours
- Step 4 Take mixer jar add urad dal and rice mixer
- Step 5 Grind it well in smooth paste (The batter should be thick and fluffy like idli/medu vada batter)
- Step 6 Add salt and mix it well. Keep it aside
- Step 7 Take a bowl and add thick coconut milk
- Step 8 Add boiled milk.
- Step 9 Add 2 tbsp of sugar.
- Step 10 Add cardamom powder and mix it well until sugar dissolve.
- Step 11 Take a kadai and heat oil. Drop tiny balls of the prepared batter.
- Step 12 Flip over the paniyarams. It turns golden and crisp.
- Step 13 Drain out the oil and keep it aside.
- Step 14 Drop the paniyarams into the prepared coconut milk. Let it soak for 5-10mins.
- Step 15 Serve it once it’s soaked completely in coconut milk. Enjoy the snack!!!!
