It’s very light, airy, fluffy, and yummy. It’s a fuss-free, eggless chocolate chip cake that will leave you drooling. It’s the perfect cake for tea time. Chocolate chip vanilla tea cake | Eggless vanilla tea cake preparation with step-by-step photos and a quick video.
Ingredients
- Maida (all Purpose Flour ) - 1½ cup
- Curd -½ cup
- Milk -½ cup
- Sugar -¾ cup
- Oil-1/3 cup
- Vanilla extract-1 tsp
- Baking powder-1 tsp
- Baking soda-½ tsp
- salt -¼ tsp
- Chocolate chips-½ cup
Directions
- Step 1 Pre-heat oven to 180°C.Generously grease a 6-inch pan. Set aside.
- Step 2 Add curd
- Step 3 Add milk and mix it well
- Step 4 Add oil gradually, beating all the time
- Step 5 Add sugar and mix it well
- Step 6 Add vanilla essence and mix it well.
- Step 7 Add all Purpose Flour (Maida)
- Step 8 Add salt
- Step 9 Add baking soda
- Step 10 Add baking powder and fold it gently.
- Step 11 Add chocolate chips and mix them gently.
- Step 12 Pour batter into the prepared pan. Don’t fill it completely to avoid overflow while baking.
- Step 13 Roughly spread a few chocolate chips over the cake batter.
- Step 14 Bake the cake at 180 °C degrees celsius for 30-35 minutes.
- Step 15 Insert a toothpick at the center and see if it comes out clean. Else bake for 5 more minutes.
- Step 16 Now remove it from the tray and let it cool.
- Step 17 Enjoy a slice of this eggless chocolate chip cake with a cup of tea or coffee!

Making of Chocolate Chip Vanilla Tea Cake:

10. Add baking powder and fold it gently.
11. Add chocolate chips and mix them gently.
12. Pour batter into the prepared pan. Don’t fill it completely to avoid overflow while baking.
13. Roughly spread a few chocolate chips over the cake batter.
14. Bake the cake at 180 °C degrees celsius for 30-35 minutes.
15. Insert a toothpick at the center and see if it comes out clean. Else bake for 5 more minutes.
16. Now remove it from the tray and let it cool. Enjoy a slice of this eggless chocolate chip cake with a cup of tea or coffee!
Notes:
– You can adjust the choco chips quantity according to your taste.
– I would recommend using a better brand for vanilla extract. Some of the local brands will not give real vanilla flavor.
