Soft and Fluffy White Sandwich Bread | The Best Homemade Bread preparation with step-by-step photos and a quick video.
Ingredients
- Maida ( plain flour / all-purpose flour) -3 cups
- Honey - 2 tbsp
- Salt - 2 tsp
- Instant yeast - 1 tbsp(10gm)
- Oil-1 tsp
- Melted butter - 2 tbsp
- Milk - ½ cup + 1 tbsp
- Water – ½ cup
Directions
- Step 1 Take a loaf pan, oil it well and sprinkle flour all over it. Set aside.
- Step 2 Take a jug and add warm water
- Step 3 Add honey
- Step 4 Sprinkle yeast over it and let it stand for 5 mins till yeast activates.
- Step 5 Once yeast activates, add in melted butter
- Step 6 Add milk
- Step 7 Take flour
- Step 8 Add salt and mix it well
- Step 9 Add wet mixture
- Step 10 Mix it on low speed knead until a soft ball of dough forms and clears the sides of the bowl, about 7 to 10 minutes.
- Step 11 Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and turn it over so it is completely coated.
- Step 12 Cover with plastic wrap and set until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Step 13 Once the dough rises. Transfer it carefully to a floured work surface. Gently press it all over to remove any air pockets.
- Step 14 Roll up the rectangle, starting on the short end, into a very tight cylinder. Pinch to seal the seams and the ends, tuck the ends of the roll until the bread, and place into greased loaf pans.
- Step 15 Leave the loaf pan aside for 30 to 45 mins till it is well risen.
- Step 16 Brush the loaves with some of the milk
- Step 17 Bake it in preheated oven for about 40 to 45 mins.
- Step 18 Once it is baked. Remove from oven and let it cool in the loaf pan for 2 mins.
- Step 19 The bread can be stored in an airtight bread bag or wrapped tightly in plastic wrap at room temperature for up to 4 days.
